The course covers theories, principles, and techniques of effective leadership with an emphasis on the following concepts and skills: strategy formulation, visioning, ethics-building, interpersonal relations (internal & external), group dynamics, team communications, cross-cultural and global issues in leadership; political skills required by effective leaders; change master; negotiation, mediation, stress management, and problem-solving. The course will cover experiential learning exercises, real life case analysis, comparative analysis of political and business leaders, and analysis and presentation of real life current events related to leadership. A detailed field-based project report and case presentations are required. Prereq: c/i. (fall/spring/summer)
