This covers the fundamental principles and issues of managing information technology as a corporate resource. The primary purpose is to provide an awareness of the future role of information technology in business organizations. Major concepts, developments and managerial implications involved in computer hardware, software, communications, and other computer-based information systems will be discussed using specific business case examples. The challenges and methods of managing information systems, technologies, and resources from an assoc-technical approach will provide the conceptual framework for the course. Prerequisite: BISI 2150.
