A study of methods, philosophies, materials, and objectives for teaching instrumental music from grade four through grade twelve. Clinical and field-based experiences which call for active participation by students are part of the course requirements. Required of all students seeking certification in Music who wish an emphasis in teaching instrumental music. Prerequisite: permission of instructor and official admission to the Teacher Education Program. Three lectures.
