Study of important classes of organic compounds. Emphasis is placed upon the study of hydrocarbons and their principal derivatives: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, oils, vitamins, and dyes. Designed for majors in Agriculture, Home Economics, and Allied Health. Prerequisites: CHEM 1120, 1121. Not available for students having credit for CHEM 2010, 2020. Three lectures and one threehour laboratory per week. Offered only in fall.
