This course will review the origins and historical development of the European Union after World War II, describe the roles and functions of the EU institutions, and analyze the impact of the EU on various policy areas, domestic and foreign, of the European space. Theoretical perspectives on the process of regional integration will be incorporated in analyzing the prospects for European integration. Prerequisites: PLSC 120 or PLSC 140.
