A comprehensive examination is made of a variety of professional roles assumed by the speech pathologist and/or audiologist in a variety of professional settings. Professional organization and administration of speech, language, and hearing services in a public school, community clinic, hospital, and rehabilitation center are investigated, particularly as they relate to multicultural issues, professional ethics, and state and federal regulation. Prerequisites: CDSC330 and CDSC331. In addition to the required courses, students must be Speech and Hearing Handicapped Majors or have permission of the department.
