Designed to make the student familiar with current practices in the teaching of elementary school science. For future professional development in science education, this course emphasizes a practical component involving planning and teaching a science lesson and examination of various teaching methods and materials. Students will synthesize various educational theories with a view to developing a personal theory of learning and constructing a valid instructional foundation for future professional development in science education.
