Identifies and analyzes several systems of broadcasting found in various countries of the world. This course also examines a variety of issues which transcend national boundaries, such as discrepancies in the information and entertainment flow among nations, internationalization of the culture industries, the role of media in national and subcultural identity formation, the role of media in war and peace, the issue of commercial versus non-commercial broadcasting.
