This course is designed to cover the use of computerized statistical and data analysis packages available to social and behavioral scientists for the reduction and analysis of social science data. Topics include instrument design, data preparation, file organization, and standard statistical routines such as anova, correlation, regression, and factor analysis. Emphasizes computer techniques used in applied statistics with a background in basic statistics assumed. Lectures are supplemented with many programming projects.
