3 hours. (3 hours lecture). Elementary fluid mechanics. Manual and computer assisted calculation of viscosity, flow, pressure and pressure-velocity relationships of fluid to design fluid power systems or control manufacturing processes. Emphasis on the selection of valves, accumulators, actuators, seals, pumps, and motors. Prerequisite: PHYS 100 College Physics I or PHYS 104 Engineering Physics I and PHYS 130 Elementary Physics Laboratory I. Corequisite: MECET 525 Fluid Mechanics Laboratory.
