Emphasis placed on molding, fluid flow, heat transfer, gating, feeding, and subsequent machining as well as metallurgical properties, structural design and cost effectiveness. Computer assisted process simulation will be covered. Prerequisites: MFGET 567 Principles of Metalcasting and MFGET 568 Metalcasting Processing Laboratory.
