Topics include tolerance analysis, fasteners, shafts, couplings, brakes, clutches, gears, belt and chain drives, bearings, seals, cams, motors, and other power transmission components. Extensive use of engineering handbooks, vendor catalogs, and computer software. Prerequisite: MECET 423 Mechanics of Materials or equivalent.
