2 hours. This course is designed for undergraduate majors in Physical Education and other undergraduate students interested in coaching. The basis of the course is to present a fundamental understanding of specific scientific areas in which coaches should demonstrate competencies. These areas include exercise physiology, sport psychology, and biomechanics of movement. The overriding goal is that students leave the course with the practical skills and knowledge base needed to coach athletic teams of all ages.
