3 hours. Designed to enhance the methodology skills of teachers at the middle and secondary level in order to meet the content reading needs of their students in crosscurriculum disciplines. Will focus on techniques and skills for increasing student comprehension of content texts and in all reading to learn situations. Evaluation of textbooks and assessment of the content reading demands of the middle/secondary classrooms will be explored. Participants will develop classroom-ready materials-to utilize and evaluate. Course will include embedded projects in the field.
