3-4 hours. A supervised experience in an early childhood educational setting under the direction of university personnel and a cooperating teacher who is certified in Early Childhood Education. Specifically designed to facilitate and expand upon the student's ability to be an effective early childhood educator. Emphasis is placed upon providing field experiences in types of early childhood settings in which the student has had limited previous experiences. Prerequisites: CURIN 860 Foundations of Early Childhood Education, CURIN 861 Laboratory Experience in Early Childhood Education, CURIN 862 Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction. Student must apply in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction by April 1 for the summer or fall semesters and by November 1 for the spring semester.
