Formal descriptions of languages and survey of specialized languages and their features. Data abstraction and procedures. Prerequisite: CSIS 340 Digital Computer Design or CSIS 290 Concepts of Computer Systems, and CSIS 250 Principles of Software Design or permission of instructor. May be taken for honors.
