Advanced practice nursing as influenced by rural, social, cultural, political, ethical, and economic forces interacting with complex client/family systems is examined. Past, present, and future roles of advanced practice nurses are explored. Strategies for change in health care delivery systems and health care policy are delineated. Prerequisite: Admission to MSN program or special permission.
