(3-0-3) An introduction to the design of amplifiers in the frequency range of one half to ten gigahertz. Impedance matching, modeling, dynamic range, unilateral design, bilateral design, stability, low noise design, and broadband design techniques. Students will use software to perform impedance matching, Smith chart plotting, and simulation. Prerequisite: EET 415.
