(3-0-3) An application of the concepts of preventive dentistry. Course includes oral health instruction for the individual patient based on an understanding of the causes and means to control dental disease. Selection and evaluation of oral physiotherapy aids, patient education, and other materials will be investigated. Concept of effective patient communication and motivation will be emphasized. Offered at the ODS School of Dental Hygiene only.
