(3-0-3) The biological foundations of animal behavior are presented from an ethological and comparative psychology perspective. Emphasizes the evolution, development and physiological basis of behavior patterns and presents topics on learning, perception, orientation, communication and social behavior. (Cannot be taken for graduation credit by students who have taken PSY 428.) Prerequisite: PSY 202 or BIO 213.
