Three credits. Prerequisites: SPED 3010, 3430 or 3440, and admission to teacher education program. Examines ways the special educator/consultant interacts with general educators, educational systems, communities, families, and students to create appropriate educational services for exceptional learners. Examination of group processes, human behavior related to interaction, and the provision of skills and knowledge critical to effective collaboration and consultation with others about the education of students with special needs.
