This course studies a selection of artists/artworks/movements that have redefined performance as an art form over time. Focus is on work since the Futurist movement of the early 1900? to the present, though earlier examples are included. During the course, students present their own written and performative responses to the artists/artworks/movements introduced. Skills for developing, directing and performing are introduced.
