This class will introduce students to the techniques for creating 2D animations in a timeline-based digital environment. Macromedia's "Flash MX" will be the primary software used in this course. Inaddition to traditional animation techniques (such as key framing and 'tweening') programmable interactivity using Action Scriptingwill also be covered. Finished animations may be written to film, videotape, or CD-ROM. Techniques for uploading animations for distribution through the Internet will be emphasized. Prerequisites: None Type: hybrid studio/critique(5hrs) Culturally Diverse Content Enrollment: departmental required
