Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts required for the drafting and design of residential buildings. The course will simulate a professional setting by working through the steps required for a hypothetical residential project. By the end of the semester, a set of working drawings will be prepared. Topics that will be explored include the building code, the energy code, presentation drawings, construction drawings, site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, foundations, framing plans, and schedules. : TECH 106, TECH 130.
