An exploration of a specific genre or topic in the printmaking/book arts discipline. The course is designed to enhance the creative, conceptual, and professional development of printmaking majors. Students work toward developing a body of work with emphasis on content and technique. Regular critique helps students develop the critical language necessary to speak about their work on a variety of levels. Contemporary issues in printmaking are addressed, particularly as they relate to students' work. This course, on a different topic, may be repeated for credit. Prerequisite: One 300-level printmaking course or permission of the instructor.
