This course is designed for individuals who have been certified by NYS Department of Health as Emergency Medical Technicians for the purpose of maintaining their competency in providing emergency medical care. The content reviews the concepts and materials covered in the EMT course. After successful completion of this course, students are eligible to take the NYS certification exam. Recertification is required every three (3) years. Persons who have previously taken the EMT course for 6 credits or the EMT refresher for 2 credits are not eligible to receive credit for this course again Proof of certification as an EMT. B
