This course is designed to provide an introduction to international business and the global economic environment in which it is conducted. The process of economic globalization, international law, global finance and currencies, and the impact of information technology on international business operations will be covered. The impact of global business competition on the workplace will be discussed. Special focus will be applied to understanding the business risks that arise when firms engage in international trade, and on how global business enterprises manage those risks : BUS 120, ECO 210 or ECO 100, or permission of the instructor.
