This course examines classical sociological theory, from its beginnings in the 19th century through its historical development into the 20th century. The theories of classical sociologists, such as Marx, Durkheim, Weber and others, from the 19th and 20th centuries provide a comprehensive introduction to the theoretical foundations of the discipline of sociology.
