This course has two distinct components. During the first half of the course, students are introduced to the studio techniques of landscape design. In the second half of the course students are taught the field skills required to install, maintain, and improve gardens and landscapes. This is a required course, taught in the semester, intended for first year students in General Horticulture and Landscape Development. Prerequisite(s): HOR 170 or HOR 131 (1,4) 3 credits
