The main purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the principles and operation of mechanical equipment such as lathes, drill press, milling machines and measuring requirements and measuring instruments. Several manufacturing processes such as welding, powder metallurgy, sheet metal forming extrusion, etc. are also covered.
