This course will introduce the student to the language of healthcare through the use of roots, suffixes and prefixes that are used to build medical terms. An overview of human anatomy and related disease processes will be used as a basis for studying the terminology. The student will achieve the ability to interpret medical terms as well as relate those terms in the appropriate context of healthcare practice.
