Prerequisite(s): Permission of instructor and senior status in social work. Directed independent study or project on a topic that is related to social work practice and is of special interest to the student. The course is limited to senior social work majors who have attained a grade point average of 3. 0 or above and show exceptional promise for the profession. Enables students to utilize research knowledge and skills in pursuing in depth a special area of interest. Students will be provided guidance and direction by a faculty member who has expertise in the area of study.
