This course was designed to develop outdoor leadership and basic outdoor recreational skills in a variety of outdoor activities. In addition to the regular oncampus classes, students will be required to participate in several weekend field trips during which time they will demonstrate practical application of the skills and knowledge acquired. Activities covered in this course will include camping and campcrafts, outdoor cookery, hiking and backpacking, map and compass use, canoeing, and rock climbing.
