Prerequisite(s): CUAI 4437/5437 and CUAI 4447/5447. This course explores pedagogical approaches to teaching Limited English Proficient (LEP) students in the K-12 arena. Some of the approaches to be explored are the natural approach, total physical response (TPR), cooperative learning, the language experience, integrated language teaching, whole language, and the cognitive academic language learning approach (CALLA).
