Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1110/11, BIOL 1120/21, BIOL 1130/31, or equivalent; and permission of instructor. An extended field-oriented ecology course (approximately three weeks camping) to outstanding biomes of North America, i.e., deserts, alpine tundra, boreal forest and prairies, involving field instruction, specimen collection, identification of organisms in their natural habitats. Some pretrip and post-trip classroom sessions. Course can be repeated for credit with limit of three credits toward degree. (Extra fees.)
