Prerequisite(s): or Corequisite(s): BIOL 1110/11, BIOL 1120/21, BIOL 1130/31, BIOL 3100, MATH 1530, or MATH 1910. Introduction to current research topics and methods in the biological sciences. Discussions of methods and experimental design, and workshops on writing and oral presentations. Students will select an area of investigation, and an appropriate faculty mentor for an individual research project, and complete a research prospectus. One twohour meeting per week.
