An introduction to research methods in the healthcare industry that guides the student through the research process including developing problem statements, performing literature searches, evaluating and writing proposals and critiquing existing research articles. The course will also include an overview of existing statistical software applications used in research. Research and presentation of an aspect of health information management will be included. Prerequisite: Completion of HIM 443, HIM 444, HIM 361 (may be taken concurrently) and BADM 220 (may be taken concurrently). 3
