3 cl hrs, 3 cr A lecture course that covers the sources and control of air pollution caused by oil burners and incinerators, indoor air quality and noise control in HVAC systems. Students learn how residual oil burners are operated, controlled and maintained to minimize air pollution. They also learn how indoor air quality is maintained by HVAC systems and how an indoor air quality investigation is planned and performed. Basic acoustic terminology is also covered, along with sound level measurement procedures and noise control codes. Students complete term projects. Prerequisites: ENVC 1210/EC 210, ENVC 1211/EC 211, ENVC 2321/ EC 321
