3 cl hrs, 3 cr Students learn how to analyze expenses, identify controllable items, make comparisons to benchmark standards, establish achievable targets and develop and manage a cost control program. Examples of proven cost saving techniques will be used and the net effect upon the short- and longterm profitability and value of a facility will be determined. Topics covered will include energy costs, telecommunications costs, insurance premiums, labor costs and taxes. Prerequisite: FMGT 3510/FM 510
