3 cl hrs, 3 cr A lecture course that teaches psychrometrics and cooling load calculation methodologies. Students learn to use psychrometric charts to determine the properties of air at various conditions, and the sensible and latent energy changes required to maintain specified comfort levels in occupied spaces. They also learn to calculate cooling loads, using both computerized modeling software and manual methods in accordance with accepted industry practices. Prerequisite: ENVC 1110/EC 110
