2 cl hrs, 2 lab hrs, 3 cr This course introduces advanced animation concepts, including scripting, and focuses on various techniques to enhance interactivity. The primary authoring tools are software such as Macromedia Flash, Shockwave and digital video. The capabilities of authoring environments are extended through ActionScripts. Object-oriented programming concepts such as variables, conditional statements and loops are covered in detail. At the completion of the course each student is required to complete a complex animated website. Prerequisite: ADV 3650/AD 650 or department approval required
