2 cl hrs, 2 lab hrs, 3 cr An advanced course that continues to develop the ability to capture, color correct, adjust tonal levels and curves and retouch bitmapped images. Students learn how digital cameras and high-end scanners capture images and how to provide optimized files. Students are exposed to professional techniques for making corrections and altering pictures to match a client's instructions, using software such as Adobe Photoshop on the Macintosh operating system. The course is a priority for students planning to continue for the BTech degree. Prerequisite: ADV 1260/AD 260; corequisite: GRA 2300/GA 300
