2 cl hrs, 12 field hrs, 3 cr A field-based internship experience designed to provide reinforcement for pre-service teacher interns who have completed Methods of Teaching. Students will be required to attend scheduled instructional seminars very early in the semester and will be observed at a school site on at least three occasions by a College supervisor. A mentor teacher will provide ongoing support and guidance between observations. Emphasis is placed on developing valid lesson objectives, effective questioning techniques and the fundamentals of lesson planning and delivery. Monthly logs, reflective essays, participation in seminars and a comprehensive assignment based on field experiences are required. Prerequisites: EDU 2520/ED 252, EDU 2353/ED 353, EDU 2362/ED 362; corequisite: EDU 4620/ED 462 or approval of department chair
