3 cl hrs, 3 cr This course is designed for students who have taken Arabic 1 and 2 or have permission from the Humanities Department. Adopting the communicative approach in teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), this course will continue to focus on the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading (both oral and comprehension) and writing, and integrate cultural and social components with the languagelearning experience. Through audio and video materials, students will be exposed to contemporary Arab society, literature and culture. Pre- or corequisite: ARB 1102, or foreign-language placement test
