3 cl hrs, 3 cr This is a continuing course for students who have acquired basic knowledge in Intermediate Chinese I (CHN 201). Designed to improve students' ability in listening, speaking, reading (traditional characters), and writing, this course focuses on achieving a higher level of proficiency in Mandarin with a particular emphasis on oral exercise and writing practice. Various cultural aspects including history, social customs, and the arts will be incorporated into the class. Prerequisites or co-requisite: CHN 201 or foreign language placement test
