The second course in the Paramedic sequence, intended to train the student in the areas of advanced airway management, physical assessment, field assessment, clinical decision-making, documentation, and the assessment and management of respiratory emergencies. The course follows the 1998 DOT National Standard Curriculum for EMT-Paramedics, and is designed to give students the foundation to continue training to become eligible to take the National Registry EMT-Paramedic Exam. The lab portion of the course introduces the students to the policies and procedures of the field and hospital internship sites, where they continue to work on their minimum competencies in same day surgery, operating room, emergency department as well as beginning their field/ambulance experience. Prerequisite: completion of PMD 201/PMD 2013 with a grade of 2.0 or above. 9412 ACW 6 NILSON, E MW 6:00PM- 9:00PM *204 $11.40 lab fee.
