Overview of interview/listening skills and counseling theories unique to the chemically dependent person (adult as well as child/adolescent) who is infected with HIV/AIDS or other bloodborne pathogens. Areas to be covered: etiology of HIV, transmission and infection control, testing and counseling, clinical manifestations and treatment, legal and ethical issues, psychosocial issues.
