This is the third of a six-course sequence in music theory required for the completion of the Bachelor of Music. This course will provide a basis for the understanding and application of the following music theory knowledge base: secondary dominants, borrowed chords, Neapolitan sixths, and augmented sixth chords. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to continue with the study of music theory in MU 211. This is a required course for music majors. Prerequisite: MU 106.
