This is the second of a six-course sequence in music theory required for the completion of the Bachelor of Music. This course will provide a basis for the understanding and application of the following music theory knowledge base: major and minor triads, seventh chords, chord inversions, voice leading, four-part harmony, and modulation. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to continue the study of music theory in MU 210. This is a required course for music majors and minors. Prerequisite: MU 105.
