In this course we will address both the construction and content of artworks made of fiber-based materials. We will explore methods of applying color, mark and texture to flat surfaces, known as surface design. We will discuss historical fiber constructions, their uses and meanings and draw inspiration from these discussions to make primarily nonfunctional artworks. Lab fee.
